How You Can Help the OVC’s

We have realized that to achieve the Acacia Principles and Objectives we have to involve the whole nation at large to be part of this Acacia Vision.

ACT estimates that it takes N$500 (US$55) per month to administer, manage, and provide all the basic needs to an orphan within a family setting (N$ 6000.00/US$670.00 a year). The bulk of the resources are the people themselves who contribute 60 present of the resources including care board and room, free labour, skill, and knowledge. Secondly, the organization depends on the supply of local materials such as land, wood, grass, and, space for meetings. The local resources are not sufficient, and as such, ACT has to solicit for external help to supplement the efforts of the family units and the communities to meet the needs of the OVC's.

Needed are the remaining 40 percent of the resources that are critical to the life of the program: these resources are beyond the capacity of the family units  / the extended family. They are necessary to supplement the efforts of the family units. They include finances and hardware such as means of transportation, various office, training equipment , farming implements and building materials. ACT needs and has benefited from foreign human resources.

You can be part of the gift of hope to the orphans and vulnerable children at risk by contributing directly to the program in the form of cash, by the gift of stock and bonds, by donations and contribution in kind. You may bequeath your estate or other valuables; you may be able to indirectly adopt kid(s).

There are many possibilities for collaboration in projects. There are opportunities for volunteering one’s skills, talents and knowledge to the organization. Please contact us directly to discuss possibilities.

Donation made to the trust will be available to any of the children and activities of the Trust.
